The DigitalHealthEurope team participated in two events at the 19th International Conference on Integrated Care. The conference took place from 1 to 3 April, 2019 in San Sebastian, Basque Country.
On Monday, 1 April, DigitalHealthEurope was presented as part of a session on Capacity building and technical support for implementing integrated care. The session was organised with the support of the European Commission and DigitalHealthEurope was showcased alongside ongoing integrated care projects VIGOUR and Scirocco. The presentation highlighted the approaches developed by the three initiatives to twinning and capacity building activities.
The topic of twinning was explored again, more in depth, on Wednesday, 3 April, in a dedicated joint workshop. Titled Scaling-up integrated care: A joint EU project workshop to explore opportunities for capacity building, technical support and twinning, it brought the three projects together again and connected them to an audience representing interested twinning partners from different regions. The goal of the workshop was to enable an exchange of information between participants, regarding the needs and requirements for technical assistance and support in the twinning process. Next to this, participants were encouraged to explore potential twinning opportunities. Strahil Birov of empirica gave a presentation, explaining how the Twinning Funding Scheme in DigitalHealthEurope will be carried out.
