LEGAL CHALLENGES OF HEALTH DATA USE
Roundtable 2
Within the framework of DigitalHealthEurope, two roundtable meetings have been planned, focusing on the legal challenges of health data use. In each workshop experts were invited to share their expertise to discuss the issue.
The first virtual roundtable took place on 03.12.2020. The challenge of meeting the legal needs of health data use in the digital age is to find a smooth fit between the different perspectives of health data users and generators, the wide range of uses to which health data may be put and the array of legal tools that already exist.
The second meeting took place on the 18th March 2021 with 34 participants from more than 8 different countries. It further tested and refined the ideas and concepts developed during the first roundtable meeting in December 2020.
