DHE twinning approach featured in the Research*EU magazine: “A pathway to the digital transformation of healthcare”

The Research*EU  magazine states that even though there are numerous research projects focusing on digital healthcare  in the EU, many of them lack the time and resources for large-scale adoption across countries. The DigitalHealthEurope project not only fills this gap but also aims at advancing European healthcare systems applying  digital technologies thanks to the 25 twinnings’ approach selected and funded by the project.

The DHE twinnings are highly-specific and innovative digital healthcare solutions which were successfully implemented by their creators (originator) and are being transferred to other healthcare providers (adopter).

The Research*EU has also stressed other contributions of DHE such as the catalogue of digital solutions and the catalogue of mature telehealth applications, ready to be implemented across the whole of Europe, which became even more relevant since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. “In a little under 2 years, DigitalHealthEurope has successfully managed to establish itself as the go-to platform for different stakeholders who wish to share information, receive support and learn about the digital transformation of health and care in Europe,” concludes the magazine.
