Short description

In a time when 92% of all patients start their journey through the healthcare system by asking Google about their symptoms, the webpage seeks to be a valid and reliable alternative to other less reliable sources of information online. The Twinning promotes health literacy, gives citizens living with chronic illness sufficient skills and knowledge about their health condition to ensure empowerment and prevention of (re)admission. Concretely, includes more than 400 videos that pass on concrete knowledge and experience shared by citizens living with illness, their relatives and professionals. The information is based on narratives rather than statistical information and the various actors give essential insights about operations, symptoms and how to tackle life with illness. Through various video clips, seeks to simplify communication and routines in order to give citizens a better understanding of chronic illness. Furthermore, the platform provides advice and instructions about where to find further information and help online.
