Multi-stakeholder Communities

DigitalHealthEurope has set up a shared platform for multi-stakeholder communities. These communities are supporting the European Commission's 2018 Communication on enabling the digital transformation of health and care.

All three communities will carry out concrete activities to support digital transformation of health and care in Europe. Their purposes are to create a set of policy papers and recommendations for public distribution.

The ways in which they do this will differ. For example, the communities will use surveys, focus groups, electronic meetings, shared documentation – commentable documents, and physical meetings – often in or around bigger workshops or conferences.

Each community will engage with a group of experts with various expert profiles: examples include specialists in electronic health records, ePrescriptions, secondary uses of health data, citizens’ empowerment, working with health and care staff, and people skilled in engaging different groups to share their opinions on digital health and digital care

The goal is to put forward – based on a common agenda – actionable recommendations, agreements, and White Papers.
